Abrew Repair and Construction was founded in The Bay Area in 1965 by Ron Abrew. His son Kevin began helping his father while still in high school, working after school and on week-ends and summers, learning everything he needed to know in order to follow in his father’s footsteps. In 1986, Kevin and his father became business partners. Together they built the business by following a policy of always being hands-on with every project they undertook. Kevin assumed all management aspects of the business in 2004, committed to maintaining the principles and ethics by which his father had always run the business.
Kevin has built a reputation for taking on the jobs other contractors won't touch. He genuinely likes the challenge of doing what other people say can't be done. 'No job is too hard, and no job is too big or too small,' he says. 'We like to challenge ourselves because we know we can get it done and make it exactly what they want.
That same client-first mindset extends to how the company operates day to day. "Ethics and morals are very important to how we operate as a company," Kevin explains. "Renovating a home is stressful and sometimes people get emotional, but we always approach every client with dignity and respect, no matter what." The company emphasizes personalized attention, regular check-ins, and open communication throughout every project, aiming to keep work on schedule, on budget, and aligned with what clients actually want. Staying active with industry associations and other professionals also helps the team keep pace with new building trends and techniques.
Abrew Repair and Construction serves residential and commercial clients throughout the Greater Bay Area. Residential work includes whole-house renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, structural repairs, dry rot removal, and landscaping. On the commercial side, the company handles everything from demolition and ground-up construction to full-phase remodels, renovations, and ongoing maintenance.
More than 60 years after Ron Abrew laid the company's foundation, that same commitment to honest work and genuine care for clients still guides everything the team does. For Kevin, it's not just a business he inherited, it's a legacy he's building on, one project at a time.
